University Relations

Vice President of University Relations

  • Mike Griffith, Junior, Geography and Regional Planning

General Board

  • Perry Brown, Junior, Marketing
  • Heather Kwolek, Sophomore, Psychology
  • Tim Lynch, Senior, Criminology
  • Levi McClure, Senior, Nursing
  • Amy Oplinger, Senior, Spanish
  • Carly Pollock, Senior, Exercise Science

The University Relations (UR) Committee has had a busy semester already. This week they will wrap up Winter Warm-Up and Philanthropy Day. Winter Warm-Up allows students to visit with different organizations on campus much like IUP Day in the Fall Semester. Philanthropy Day provides students with the opportunity to thank the University’s donors for their support with fun activities in the Library. UR coordinates Ambassadors’ volunteers for those events, along with the two Admissions Expos occurring this semester. The committee is prepping for Admission Phone Calls that are happening the week after Spring Break. Ambassadors call prospective students who have been admitted to the University to answer questions they may have. The big event for UR this semester is Distinguished Alumni Weekend. Though the event is not until April, UR is hard at work planning elements of the weekend with the Office of Alumni Relations.
