February 27th and 28th, four Ambassadors represented the IUP Ambassadors at the CASE ASAP District 2 Conference. Mike Calhoun, Morgan Huey, Bucky Weich, and Erin Wright traveled to Ithaca College (IC) in New York to meet with and learn from organizations similar to Ambassadors from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Canada. The Ambassadors attended sessions providing information about events and techniques other organizations use to better themselves and their universities. Mike, Morgan, Bucky, and Erin are bringing back a number of ideas that could help make a great organization even better. IUP Ambassador adviser, Sara Lawer, received an award for Outstanding Adviser and will be in the running for award at the National level this summer in Washington, DC.
Along with the business of the conference, there was also time for fun. The weekend included great food, time to rock climb and play on inflatables in IC’s fitness center, and a concert featuring IC’s three a cappella groups. The Ambassadors would also like to thank graduate student, Alyssa Caffarelli, for accompanying the Ambassadors to the event.
