Joined Ambassadors: Spring 2011

Why did you choose IUP?

I chose IUP because they have one of the best business programs and has been recognized in the Princeton Review for the past 3 years. Plus I fell in love with the suites and I received a full scholarship.

Why did you get involved with Ambassadors?

“I got involved with Ambassadors because I wanted to try something new and I was very pleased with the reviews and very prestigious comments that I heard about the Ambassadors. I saw a flyer in my building freshman year and I just decided to try it out.”

Which superpower would you like to have, any why?

“My superpower would be time travel so that I could relive all of the good times in my life.”

If you could trade places with an Ambassador for a day, who would it be?

“I would trade places with Katie Caffrey so I could be the star of the show. Or Sara Lawer so I could be the boss.”

What are your plans after graduation?

“I plan to attend grad school and receive my MBA or Masters in marketing or communications, and receive an entry level position in an advertising firm.”

Joined Ambassadors: Spring 2013

What are your plans after graduation?

“I plan to graduate in May and take a year off from school to do an internship and study for the GED’s. Eventually, I would like to go to graduate school for a master’s in school psychology.”

What is your favorite Ambassador memory?

“My favorite Ambassador memory was going to CASE-ASAP in New Orleans this summer. It was a great experience, and really brought me closer to other members. I also loved getting to experience the city.”

What will you take away from your time in Ambassadors?

“My freshman and sophomore years here I was not really involved in anything, but being in the Ambassadors really got me involved. It is amazing how truly rewarding it feels to give back to IUP.  Ambassadors is a core organization here at IUP and because of that I have been able to improve my leadership skills and do a tremendous amount of networking not only with new students and current students, but with many very accomplished alumni.”

What other organizations are you involved in?

“I’m involved in Psi Chi, a national honor society for psychology.”

If you could be any animal, which would you be?

“I would be a cheetah because they live in hot weather, are at the top of the food chain, are extremely fast, and the coolest looking animal.”

If you could have any superpower, which would it be?

“If I could have any superpower it would be teleportation. I hate car rides, and would love to be able to travel somewhere with a snap of my fingers.”
