November brought the arrival of the annual free in-state tuition raffle. IUP Ambassadors has granted a total of 19 semesters of free in-state tuition and over $5,000 in Co-Op store book scholarships for 20 years. As many of you know, Ambassadors donates half of the amount collected through the raffle back to IUP, and the organization has donated over $130,000 dollars back to the university since the tuition raffle began.
After a spectacular performance on November 9 by the Legend marching band and our football team against the Gannon Knights, Christina Maziarz was awarded one free semester of in-state tuition for the Spring 2014 semester, and Andy Baran, our 1st runner up, was given a $500 Co-Op gift card. Congratulations Christina and Andy, and remember that Ambassadors holds the tuition raffle yearly. So, don’t miss out and forget to buy your tickets next year! Who knows – the next recipient could be you!
